Hello guys! Last Saturday we celebrated a festivity at my school the one we call "The Caminhada", being this year number XV.
Every year, the Escolapios (at least us in Pamplona) celebrate this festivity, collecting money during a whole Saturday with different activities, for sending it later to 3rd World Countries in the ones we want to build up schools or to stimulate projects the ones can help the people there. Like this, all the students in the Calasanz-Escolapios and the Compasion work during one entire month on the activities for this special day. There are typical acts in the playground, as folk dances from the place the one we're helping, "kilikis", gigants... And lots of stands in the ones we sell handmade products as bracelets or earrings, or we paint faces and the hair... There are also stands for desserts made by the adults, "txistorra", beverages, Fair Commerce... Lots of stuff. It's a festivity that promotes to help the ones that most need it giving our free time and having fun, while we become aware of everything we can do for each other.
It's a beautiful alternative and this year the help was to Brasil, the first country we helped fifteen years ago with the 1st Caminhada.
We've recollected 14472 euros, without counting with the donations some people make to finish the recollection, that's 1472 euros more than last year!
The thing is that, with them, we're going to be able to stimulate our projects in Brasil.
I know that lots of you didn't went to the festivity, as it's from a school and so not know a lot about it around here and less in other countries but if you want to collaborate with the project you can do it through an account number. Last year we earned 13000 euros without this donations and 2000 more counting with them so you can bring yourselves to participate. I leave it to you (if you are going to give an amount of money you have to indicate "para Brasil" which means "for Brasil"): 0128036259 0100008753
I also leave you a link to the "Diario de Navarra", a newspaper in the one an article was written about the festivity:
A link to the article on the web page of my school...:
And finally this years poster and the video that promotes it:
Sorry, it's in Spanish!
And well, nothing else. A greeting and bring yourselves to participate!
