Eventhough, we still do

You write in order to change the world, knowing perfectly well that you probably can't, but also knowing that literature is indispensable to the world... The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way...

People look at reality, then you can change it.

Some more little matters: One Direction!

Hello! It could be said that I'm "hooked" on this group, really "hooked". I discovered it thanks to a friend less than two weeks ago and... I love them! They're a boy band formed by five guys from England and Ireland, except from  Zayn that has Pakistanis origins too. Their names are Harry Styles, Zayn Malik , Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan (in order as they appear in the photo) and they were discovered in a TV show named "The X Factor". They applied for the show alone at first but after that they formed the band. They've got some albums and the most recent one is named "Up All Night". This boys charm us with their voices: they sing really good and their songs are pretty. I recommend them to you and leave you their official web page in English:

Enjoy it! I also leave you a photo of the group (it's the cover of their most recent album), my three favorite songs ("One Thing", "Gotta be you" and "What Makes You Beautiful") and my recommendation on them.

A kiss!
Miriam

Algunas cositas más...: ¡One Direction!

¡Hola! ¡me encantan!

¡Disfrutarla!

Miriam

Some more little matters: We've passed the 20.000 visits in the blog!

Guys! How happy I am to open the blog again and discover with my father that we've passed the 20.000 visits! Some time ago I wrote a post when I passed the 10.000 visits, around the middle part of the last year (in June). In some few months more we've increased the double!
So nothing, tell you that I'm very pleased with your participation on the blog and that I'm very happy and proud of the blog and that I'm going to be here for a lot of time more, writing about everything I can.

Thank you for everything!
Miriam

Miriam

English books: Eye of the Crow

Hello again! That second book I told you about is the one I finished yesterday. It's the first one the author Shane Peacok wrote about the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. This book tells us the first case of the detective Sherlock Holmes who's thirteen. It's late at night in London in the 1860's and a woman is murdered. Police in London think that the murderer is an Arab boy and so they put him in jail with Sherlock, which is supposed to have some connection with the Arab. Sherlock manages to scape from jail and as he knows that the Arab boy is not the murderer he decides to, with the help of Irene Doyle (a rich girl which is his friend), discover the murderer. He starts looking for clues with Malefactor, the "bad boy" of the streets and his friends and, although he will lose people he knows in the way, he will find out about the person that killed the woman. What will happen? Will he be able to clean his name and the Arab's? Will the police believe him or will he have to scape? Will it be worth it? Discover it by reading the book!
The information on it is:

Title: Eye of the Crow
Printer: Tundra Books
Author: Shane Peacock
Cover design: Jennifer Lum
Collection design: Tundra Books
Parts of the book: 1 (but there are independent books that follow)
Pages of the story: 250

Well, that's all!

Yours, Miriam.

English books: Freefall

Hey, guys! Good evening! I've just find time to write to you about two great books and so I'm starting with the first one I finished at the start of this week. It's called "Freefall" and it's the sequel to "Deeper", remember? In this book we find out what happens to Will, Chester and Elliot after they fall through the Pore. They survive, I can tell you that (although it's really obvious). They start searching the world underneath that underworld from the Styx and there they find another person, a woman in the mid-forties called Martha that will help them with Elliot because she's harmed from the fall but, that at the same time, will suppose a mystery to them. Why does she treats them so strangely? Aren't they supposed to be normal friends now that they know each other? But Martha, in the end, isn't their real problem. Their problem is the pair of Rebeccas. Their evil and they will make what it's in their hand to harm Will and his friends.
I don't want to tell you anything more about the book, you'll find out what happens with Doctor Burrows, his wife and our protagonists. :)
I leave you the information on the book:

Title: Freefall
Printer: Scholastic
Authors: Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams
Cover design: Brian Williams
Collection design: Scholastic
Parts of the book: 6 (I think there are two books left)
Pages of the story: 600

Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Miriam
