Eventhough, we still do

You write in order to change the world, knowing perfectly well that you probably can't, but also knowing that literature is indispensable to the world... The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way...

People look at reality, then you can change it.

"Les Misérables", a great film!

Guys!

In history class we've been watching this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G film, wanna guess? Ha, ha! ;)

"LES MISÉRABLES"!!!

I couldn't believe my luck when I heard about it, but it was true, indeed!
I've enjoyed it so much... As Marius says in a certain moment during the film "There are words that can't be spoken". That's one of the biggest truths I've ever heard. ;)

Anyway... Lets talk about it.

This film is based on Victor Hugo's novel "Les Misérables", written back then in 1862.
It tells the story of Jean Valjean, a men who escaped from prison and became mayor of a town in France. There he meets Fantine, a lady who has to become a prostitute to gain money to send to her daughter Cosette. When she's dying, Valjean promises that he'll take care of her daughter and so he does, though he has to live on the run to scape Javert's reach, a policemen.
The film is great, because it reflects the social and political situation of France after the French Revolution and how revolts started leading the country towards a democracy.

The film is a musical, and it's superb. Do not think twice if you get the opportunity to watch it.
I post the trailer and poster:

There you go... enjoy!

Miriam
