Eventhough, we still do

You write in order to change the world, knowing perfectly well that you probably can't, but also knowing that literature is indispensable to the world... The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way...

People look at reality, then you can change it.

"Divergent", a good film!

Hey there, guys!

As you may have noticed I've spent these last two weeks living in the Divergent world ;)
Therefore... I've watched the film.
It was a great film, great actors included. The thing is that I didn't get the feeling that they were loyal to the book, by which I mean that they switched the order of the scenes and they left out pretty nice ones between Four and Tris, the ones I was really looking forward to watching on the big screen. Either way... I think the director wanted to centre it around the big plot on the war between Abnegation and Erudition and the Dauntless participation, plus Tris' evolution in her faction, which the film totally captures.

I've watched it twice already, so it wasn't that bad ;)

I'd recommend you to read the book before, though. Just to get the whole perspective of the story line and miss those missing scenarios!

Yours,

Miriam.

"The Borrowers", a good film!

Guys! This week I've watched these two films... They're great. In this post I'm telling you about "The Borrowers".
:) It's based on the life of this very little people family, who live under the roof of a woman's house.
This woman's living with his grandson and his son, as the mum has just died and the father doesn't have a job.
The grandson thinks she's crazy, always humbling about a mini-family under their feet. He's like, "Really, gran?"
Anyway, the truth is that they live there and they get discovered by the family so they have to run away. In the way Arietty, the mini-daughter, discovers that there are more Borrowers, like her. She meets a guy named Spiller on her way to find another house with her parents.
But problems arrive. The grandma has told a scientist about her discovery on these "little people" and they go looking for them. They catch Arietty's parents and so she's left with Spiller to go and safe them. What will she do? Will she return to her human friend and risk everything to ask for his help?
Find it out by yourselves, it's a very good film (specially for little kids, they'll love it).

I leave you the  poster. I'm so sorry I didn't manage to find a good trailer, all the scenes are on Arietty's and Spiller's relationship and I don't really think they show how the film truly is. Anyway... I hope you like it!
