Hi everybody on there! How is it going? I wish well. Here, in Pamplona we are in Christmas, it´s a very beautiful celebration!
Here we celebrate lots of things in Christmas such us the Olentzero. The Olentzero is a procession into which lots of animals participate.
Olentzero is a Sheppard and the legend tells that he was the one that went trough Bethlehem and that told everyone that Jesus was born. This celebration takes place every 24th of December.
Lots of people in Pamplona celebrate the Olentzero but not all of them. For example I celebrate the Wise Men on the 5th of January. The Epiphany parade takes place this day too and it is really amazing.
We, the kids of Pamplona, get dress like Shepherds in the indicated days, you have to see us!
The city looks great in Christmas too, other years it looks better but... This is what we have.
I could tell you lots of things about Christmas in Pamplona but... Why don´t you visit us next Christmas to know all about our city? C´on, don´t get late!
This is a link to the Epiphany parade of last year, 2009.
See you!
Miriam
